Children & Youth

Volunteering in children's ministries requires completion of a background check form. Once you've expressed interest in volunteering in a children's ministry, a staff team member will contact you with more detailed information.

JAM (Jesus & Me)

JAM is Salem's Children's Ministry! It's a breakaway from traditional Sunday school using Large-Group/Small-Group Sunday school curriculum. JAM combines exciting, interactive large-group energy with safe, share-your-faith small group relationship building to inspire kids. All Preschool - 5th grade children are welcome to join from 9:30-10:45 am. Want to be part of the amazing team of people who make JAM happen? High school students and adults are welcome to talk to Belinda Jacoby or email belinda@cbsalem.org for more information! Many different areas for you to share your gifts with our children: Small Group Leaders, Drama Team, Greeters, Supplies, Worship Support Team, Stage Crew/Decorating & Lighting/Sound/Visual.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is a time for pre-school through 5th graders to learn more about Jesus Christ during the summer, when traditional Sunday School is out of session. VBS is filled with large group song and small group learning & fun. It is traditionally held in July for one entire week during the evening hours. RIPP Youth Worship

RIPP (Rally in Praise & Prayer) is a high-energy worship service for Jr. & Sr. High youth. Volunteers are needed to help with our youth in a variety of areas. If you are interested in helping with service projects, social events, worship services (set-up, tear down, audio, visual), leading small group bible studies, or even helping to prepare a meal. . .contact the church office at 366-1408.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship

We are looking for passionate and committed Christians to help once a week, once a month, or even twice a month in a variety of areas. If you have an interest in youth and service/mission projects, social and relational opportunities, small group bible studies, or worship services, we have a place for you! Together let's disciple the youth in our church and community and help them to GROW!!! Please contact the church office for more information!
